Pleasant View Communities Celebrates Major Milestone for the Heart of Community Capital Campaign

Hoffer Farm Capital Campaign

Pleasant View Communities is excited to announce the achievement of its $8.6 million capital campaign goal for the development of Hoffer Farm. This significant milestone was celebrated on March 26 at Hearth and Harrow Bistro with donors, volunteers, staff, and special guests from Kreider Farms, marking the official naming of the Kreider Farms Cultural Center at Hoffer Farm.

“This is a vibrant step forward not only for Pleasant View Communities but also for the broader Manheim community,” said Jonathan Hollinger, President and CEO of Pleasant View Communities.

The campaign’s success is thanks to the tireless efforts of dozens of volunteers, staff members, and outside consultants, whose dedication helped make this vision a reality.

With the capital goal realized, the focus now shifts to the construction phases of Hoffer Farm. The Kreider Farms Cultural Center, designated as Building One, has begun construction and is expected to be completed within the next year.

The plans for Building Two, the Makers Space, are also well underway. This innovative space is designed to be a hub for creativity and collaboration, providing residents and the local community with facilities to explore various crafts, from woodworking and ceramics to painting and textiles. The additional $1 million allocated for this building will cover state-of-the-art equipment and technology, ensuring a versatile and resource-rich environment.

The six-year planning and development process involved meticulous detail and coordination to effectively meet community and municipal requirements.

“We are set to move forward without delay,” Hollinger added. “The additional $1 million needed to cover the final costs will ensure the completion of Hoffer Farm without compromise to quality or vision.”

Looking Ahead: The Future of Hoffer Farm

Upon completion of Phase I, the project will progress to Phase II, which includes the introduction of a Daycare Center, an expansion of farming and animal programs, and the addition of recreational facilities.

“Hoffer Farm is more than just a project; it’s a legacy that will provide enrichment and opportunity for generations to come,” Hollinger said.

The completion of Hoffer Farm will enhance Pleasant View Communities’ ability to serve its residents and the Manheim community at large, reinforcing our commitment to growth and excellence in service. As construction progresses, Pleasant View continues to welcome support from the community to bring this transformative project to fruition.
