Pleasant View Earns “Deficiency Free Survey” Designation During Annual State Review

Deficiency Free Survey

The Pennsylvania Department of Health completed its annual state survey on Oct. 8, and we are thrilled to announce that Pleasant View Communities was awarded the coveted “Deficiency Free Survey” distinction.

When a retirement community receives a deficiency free state survey, it means you or your loved ones can expect the highest levels of care in a first-class environment. It means that officials conducting the survey found zero deficiencies in care, services, or the environment at Pleasant View and that our community is in 100% compliance with standards issued by the state and federal governments.

This recognition serves as an affirmation that our philosophy of care, which is focused on community impact, resident and patient experience, and a commitment to meaning and purpose, is working for both our residents and their families, as well as our entire team.

This rigorous survey includes unannounced visits by state inspectors, record checks, and interviews with residents, their families, and Pleasant View team members. The survey reviewed the entire Pleasant View operation, including patient care and building safety.

This zero-deficiency distinction isn’t easy to achieve; in fact, only a small percentage of elder care facilities across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania receive a deficiency free survey. Given the challenges retirement communities locally and across the country have faced in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are honored to make this announcement and to have earned this recognition from the Department of Health.

At Pleasant View, we treat your family like it’s our family. Our highly qualified, attentive, and empathetic team works hard to provide top-notch patient and resident care that includes everything from nutritional services to environmental aspects such as cleanliness and safety.

We would like to extend a big shout-out to the entire Pleasant View Communities team for the dedication and commitment they’ve shown to the people and families we serve.
